A calculator on the Procar.lv website that starts from a car listed on mobile.de or AutoScout24 and works out its full cost, including Latvian tax, delivery, commission and registration.

About the client

Procar.lv sells cars and arranges delivery of vehicles bought on major online marketplaces. Its website covers cars in stock, car sales, electric cars, delivery and leasing.

The challenge

The full price of a car bought on a marketplace is made up of several costs, and Procar.lv's sales reps put each quote together by hand.

  • Working out each price was slow, prone to errors and held up answers to customers
  • Quotes were inconsistent from one sales rep to another
  • Customers browsing cars online could not get a quote straight away

What we built

We built a calculator into the Procar.lv website that takes a car's marketplace listing and adds up the costs that make up its final price.

Starts from the listing

The calculator works from a car listed on mobile.de or AutoScout24, using the vehicle's details and its listed price.

Every cost on its own line

Gross price, net price, price with Latvian tax, delivery, commission and CSDD registration each appear on a separate line.

Total and down payment

The quote ends with the total including VAT. Below it, a choice of down-payment amounts runs from a small share of the price up to the full amount.

The results

Each car is now priced by the calculator, and every quote is built from the same cost lines.

  • Customers get an answer without waiting for a manual calculation
  • Every sales rep works from the same calculation, so quotes are consistent
  • Each quote shows the full cost line by line, from the car's price to the total with VAT
